Welcome to the Summer ‘Ready to Learn’ Adventure Passport!


This is a fun summer activity programme to help your child get ready for school or childcare while enjoying the holidays.

Your child can play, learn, and try new things all summer long. Each activity helps them grow, build confidence, and feel ready for September.

The Summer Adventure Passport is a small booklet filled with fun things for your child to do during the summer.

For children ages 2 – 5 years.

 The activities help your child to:

  • Be more independent
  • Play and make friends
  • Talk, listen, and understand
  • Enjoy books, words, and stories
  • Learn through play
  • Love learning new things

 

Your child can choose activities they enjoy and go at their own pace.

Get Your Passport!

You can sign up and collect your child’s Summer Adventure Passport from your local Family Hub or Library from 13th July 2026.

When you sign up, your child is entered into a prize draw and receive a FREE ready to learn pack.

Your child can pick activities from the passport and give them a go.
 

For each activity you successful complete, you will earn yourself a stamp.

Each stamp shows your child’s progress.


This helps them feel proud and excited to keep going.

  • Family time – many activities can be done together

Activities run during the summer holidays from 21 July 2025. offering a variety of:

  • Weekday activities
  • Weekend activities
  • Online sessions you can join from home

Activities take place across Walsall, led by Best Start Family Hubs and partner organisations in a range of buildings including Family Hubs, Libraries, community spaces and buildings making them easily accessible for you and your family. 

Activities may include arts and crafts, treasure hunts and bear hunts, sports days, Tiny Rangers, story time and Lego, toilet training and family workshops, and much more.
